Clickfunnels vs ThrivecartI do want to point out that when comparing Clickfunnels vs ThriveCart it is not apples to apples. ThriveCart is specifically a cart tool while Clickfunnels is a page builder and cart tool. This is important to know because if you want to use ThriveCart you will need to couple it with a page builder, whereas ClickFunnels can do both of those things. That said, I still would recommend ThriveCart over ClickFunnels any day of the week. I believe when a platform tries to be everything, some of its features won’t be as robust as others. While I think ClickFunnels has an awesome page builder, the cart aspect leaves something to be desired. If you can, using the two tools together is an ideal situation. You build the sales pages on ClickFunnels and link your order buttons to a ThriveCart checkout page. This is how the two platforms can work together, however, if we are going to make this a fair comparison I am only going to compare the ThriveCart cart options to the ClickFunnels cart options. ThriveCart offers many of the same cart tool features as ClickFunnels such as one-click order bumps and upsell and downsell offers. They both have A/B testing, several integrations, webhooks, coupons, customer centers, great stats, and auto-retry. Now with all of these options, the tools are very much the same.
Cart CustomizationWhere ClickFunnels stands out a bit more is with the options for customization of the actual cart page. Thrivecart meets the key criteria – capturing customer information, order bump options, testimonial placement, uploads product images with details to remind the customer what they can expect to receive along with credit card/PayPal icon and guarantee labels – but it is not quite as flexible as ClickFunnels with design. ClickFunnels has a bit more as it relates to customizing the look of that page so if you feel strongly about having the ability to do a ton of customizations to your cart page then that would be the only reason I would go with ClickFunnels over ThriveCart. Where ThriveCart takes the cake is in 2 key areas:
- Integrated and easy Affiliate tracking and management
- Google Analytics e-commerce integration

AnalyticsIt integrates seamlessly with Google Analytics by entering just a little line of product code. Just navigate to your product checkout tab and click on ‘tracking’, then enter your Google Analytics product ID! That’s it, It’s that straightforward! Every time someone makes a purchase it sends the information right into Google Analytics so you can easily attribute sales to traffic sources, allowing you to drive more of the RIGHT kinds of converting traffic to your sales page. This feature is not something you can set up easily with Clickfunnels (and don’t even get me started on their math that inflates conversion rates) so this is a huge reason for me in choosing ThriveCart to be my cart tool.
Affiliate ManagementAffiliate management is another area to be desired with ClickFunnels, and one that ThriveCart makes super easy. You can adjust cookie length and cookie type, make it easy for affiliates to sign up, and auto-pay your affiliates after a set period of time. Now that we know ThriveCart is the winner in my book, let’s go a step further and show you how easy it is to get started.
How to use ThriveCartThriveCart is extremely user friendly. If you have never touched a page build before you will feel like a pro with their simple process. Set up your product in a few simple steps:
- Click ‘Create a new product’, give it a name, and hit next.
- Set your pricing (subscription, one-time, etc), billing frequency, trial periods, and hit next.
- Add sales tax if applicable and choose to customize your invoice if you prefer.
- Next, add bump, give it a name, and hit next.
- Then you have the option to set up affiliates, their commissions, and payout.
- Next is fulfillment (how your customer will access their product), enter a support email address, and what happens after they purchase (ie, display URL, direct to a membership platform.
- Last are your options for cart type and cart design which is a very easy drag and drop builder.
